Sexual Harassment Training in Spanish – Adios to Lawsuits

Sexual harassment training is ineffective in most culturally diverse organizations because the training fails to take into account the social norms that are unique to each culture. Rather than being a simple translation of the law, this course addresses how different the roles of men and women in the workplace are viewed by Hispanic employees. This is done in the employee’s own language by instructors who are fluent in both English and Spanish and have lived for a portion of their lives in the Spanish culture. Employees are able to ask questions in their native language to assure their understanding of the material and the culture of the organization for which they work. By providing this training, companies not only address legal compliance issues, but also emphasize to all employees their concern for every employee’s welfare in the workplace.
